iPhone SE: Apple launches a new version of its most affordable mobile

Apple has announced the second-generation iPhone SE , which follows the iconic design of its predecessors with the start button , but which incorporates the A13 Bionic chip and a single-lens camera system that takes advantage of advances in computer photography.

The iPhone SE features an aerospace grade glass and aluminum design with a black front . The glass-finished back has been manufactured using a seven-layer staining process to "achieve a precise hue and opacity," as the company reports in a statement. It is resistant to dust and water (up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes , according to the IP67 rating.

This device uses a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with True Tone technology , which adjusts the white balance according to the ambient light. It supports playback in Dolby Vision and HDR10, and uses haptic feedback for Quick Actions, such as playing Live Photos, previewing messages, or rearranging apps.

The iPhone SE also incorporates the iconic iPhone home button , which houses a sensor and a fingerprint ring protected by sapphire crystal, compatible with Touch ID. This security feature, as detailed by the company, allows you to fill passwords with iCloud Keychain, log in to apps, authorize purchases from the App Store and carry out transactions with Apple Pay.

Apple A13 Bionic chip

The A13 Bionic, which Apple incorporated in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro , "makes everything go smoothly in the iPhone SE", as pointed out by the company. It features a standalone eight-core Neural Engine capable of processing five trillion operations per second, two machine learning accelerators in the CPU, and the new machine learning controller to find the balance between performance and efficiency.

The iPhone SE supports wireless charging , using Qi-certified chargers, and fast charging , which charges up to 50 percent battery in just 30 minutes. It is compatible with 6th generation Wi-Fi networks and 4G LTE Gigabit class, and has dual SIM support with eSIM, so that users can have two phone numbers on the same device.

Single lens camera

The iPhone SE features a single-camera system, with a 12-megapixel wide-angle and f / 1.8 aperture , and uses the image signal processor and the A13 Bionic chip's Neural Engine to take advantage of further advancements in the Computer photography, such as Portrait mode, the six Portrait Lighting effects and Depth Control.

New to the new iPhone SE is the state- of-the-art Smart HDR , which recognizes subjects in the frame and readjusts the light to give more naturalness and polish details in highlights and shadows.

The videos support stereo sound recording and cinema-quality video stabilization on the front and rear cameras. The rear camera records in 4K high definition up to 60 f / s , and uses the extended dynamic range for a higher level of detail up to 30 f / s.

The iPhone SE works with iOS 13 , and will be available in 64, 128 and 256 GB models in black, white and (PRODUCT) RED from 489 euros for your reservation from April 17. It will go on sale on the 24th of this month .
