China's January PPI +0.3% y/y, CPI -0.3% y/y

China's factory gate pricesposted their first year-on-year rise in 12 months in January andat the fastest pace since May 2019, official data showed onWednesday, suggesting gathering momentum in the industrialsector. The producer price index (PPI) rose 0.3% from a yearearlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement,compared with a 0.4% gain tipped by a Reuters poll of analystsand a 0.4% decline in December.
