Suspect in Mackenzie shooting at large

A man suspected of carrying out a targeted shooting in Mackenzie, B.C. is at large. Police are on the lookout for Emil Laverne Spelman, 40, in relation to a July 8 incident at a home in the community of about 3,800 people 186 kilometres north of Prince George. RCMP were first alerted when they were called to the community's hospital shortly before 2 p.m. where a man suffering from a gunshot wound was being treated.
